Psalm 23:3 King James Version (KJV) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Did you know that the Lord cares about you whole being?
He died for you on the cross so you could receive eternal life. (John 3:16) He also died so you could be whole, spirit, soul and body.
We are going to look at the soul. Our soul is the part of us that is our mind, will and emotions. You may be asking, “Jesus cares about my soul?” The answer is yes. He cares about every part of you.
I learned this after I had been through abuse, trauma and grief as a child. I thought I had to be sad and in bondage for the rest of my life. The Lord begin to heal me and set me free through His Word and time in His presence. I pray that you will be set free and given hope again. The Lord can restore you and give you peace.
He cares so much that the Word of God teaches that the reason Jesus came was to heal the brokenhearted. Jesus came to save us. He came to deliver us and set us free. Isaiah 61:1-3
His death on the cross was for us. He was broken so we could be healed.
Isaiah 53:3-5 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Being healed is a process. It does not happen overnight but if you stay with us as we take this journey together then you will find in time, as you learn, that you too can be restored and healed by the power of Jesus Christ.
